ACBA member Michael Levinsohn, The Nieves Law Firm, recently won a major case dismissal for a client wrongly charged with murder and attempted murder. His client, a delivery driver, tracked his stolen van using GPS and found two individuals unloading his stolen items in Berkeley. When he confronted them, a violent struggle broke out and the encounter ended in the death of the female accomplice. Despite multiple 911 calls and clear evidence of theft, law enforcement failed to act. The prosecution claimed he instigated the violence, but ignored GPS data, 911 logs, and the suspects’ criminal records. Learn more about the case
