Katherine Alphonso

Katherine Alphonso is a newly admitted member of the California State Bar.  She currently works as a contract attorney at a San Francisco law firm, where she handles issues regarding trademarks, corporate formations and filings, employment compliance, and licensing.  She is pursuing privacy law certification and hopes to make that practice area her primary focus.  She also works as a Graduate Fellow at Golden Gate University.

Seda Akay Onur is originally a Turkish lawyer, and she currently is licensed to practice law in California. She received her first degree in law from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and obtained her U.S. law degree from Northeastern University School of Law. While in Turkey, Seda worked for a free and open source operating system project, and was actively involved in the movement against Internet censorship practices. Since moving to the United States, she worked on matters involving human rights and intellectual property research. Seda is fascinated by the issues at the intersection of law and technology, and interested in working on copyright and trademark matters.
