About the Section

The newly created ACBA Criminal Law Section provides networking opportunities and continuing legal education programs for judges and attorneys practicing in the criminal justice system. The Section also serves as a liaison with the Superior Court on issues related to practicing law in Alameda County.

Court Appointed Attorneys Program

The ACBA also runs the Criminal Court Appointed Attorneys Program (CAAP), which administers the conflicts program for Alameda County. For more information on CAAP, click here.

3.17.20 - Alameda County plans to release inmates

The District Attorney’s Office has stated that it is reviewing each case, and determining whether victims must be notified, and is moving as quickly as it can.
