2022 ACBA Pro Bono Pledge – Are you ready to give back?
The ACBA Board of Directors has created a pro bono pledge to encourage ACBA members to get out in their communities and give back. The ACBA Pro Bono Pledge asks members to give their time and/or financial resources to further this goal and measure our impact together.
We will recognize members who reported that they met their time and/or financial commitment at our annual ACBA Winter Reception and offer a digital badge to use on your website/email signature line. Names will also be listed on our website.
I commit to do one or more of these in the next year:
- Provide legal representation or assistance without fee or expectation of a fee to person(s) of limited means or an organization serving the needs of persons of limited means, such as charitable, religious, civic, community, governmental or educational organizations
- Contribute financially to organizations that support or provide legal services for persons of limited means
- Volunteer my time in connection with a community service activity that has the substantial purpose of serving underrepresented and/or underprivileged members of my community
- Volunteer my time to improve the circumstances of others and improve the lives of members of my community
We have a list of a few volunteer opportunities to get you started, and will follow up with you again near the end of the year for you to report your pro bono hours.
