Disaster Legal Assistance Collaborative Selected for Public Service Award

Disaster Legal Assistance Collaborative – Frances Perkins Public Service Award

The Disaster Legal Assistance Collaborative, a project of Legal Access Alameda, has been selected as the 2021 recipient of the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law’s Frances Perkins Public Service Award in recognition of our vision in coordinating a network of private, public and nonprofit organizations that are prepared to provide legal services to natural disaster survivors across California.

The Frances Perkins Public Service Award recognizes individuals or organizations that demonstrate a significant commitment to providing pro bono legal services, primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, to people of limited means or to the nonprofit, governmental, civic, community or religious organizations that are engaged in addressing the needs of individuals with limited means.

The Award will be presented during the 15th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference on Thursday, November 11 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California.
