October Negotiation Judges Needed

ABA Negotiation Competition (Virtual)

Berkeley Law is hosting the virtual regionals for the ABA Negotiation Competition this year.  We will be welcoming 20 teams from law schools around the country to participate in this regional competition and will need a large number of scoring judges.  We are looking for the bulk of the remote judges to volunteer for a morning or afternoon shift on Friday, October 29. We welcome volunteers from all time zones for this event.

Judging Schedule
Friday – October 29 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm PST
Friday – October 29 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm PST

Judges will evaluate one round (which consists of two head-to-head negotiation sessions) and grade participants based upon their legal analysis, poise, creativity, communication, and negotiation skills. Two winning teams from the region will advance to the ABA National Negotiation Finals Competition.  Prior to the competition, you will receive a copy of the competition problem (case file) and instructions for judging.  Reviewing these materials is the only preparation requested of competition judges.  (We will also provide optional Zoom training sessions in advance of the competition, for those who want to ensure that they will be able to connect on the day of the competition.)
