Judge Delia Treviño has been an active member of the ACBA and a great resource for our members. A member of the ACBA Board of Directors before she was appointed to the bench in 2013, she is also a former chair of the ACBA Judicial Appointments Evaluation Committee.

This past year she was instrumental in rejuvenating the ACBA Criminal Law Section Executive Committee. The Executive Committee oversees CLEs and other programs for the Criminal Law Section. She also recruited two other sitting judges to join the Executive Committee (Judge Syren and Judge Fujioka) and has set the tone for the Committee by being an active participant in all meetings and programs.

In Fall of 2018, Judge Treviño planned one of our most popular CLE programs at the ACBA on preliminary trial issues, where we had over 50 people in the audience. She organized a distinguished panel of speakers made up of a Judge, public defender and district attorney.

Judge Treviño also participated as a speaker for our popular Women in Law Series titled “Issues Facing Women Entering Law & the Bench,” where she sat on a panel of women judges that addressed issues facing women and minorities entering the judiciary.

We’re proud to offer our Distinguished Service Award to Judge Treviño for her commitment to supporting education and diversity in our profession.
