I had a great time dining with Justice Bruiniers. We sat in an intimate conference room on the 20th floor of the Tribune Tower. Justice Bruiniers offered us a unique look into a day in the life of a Court of Appeal Justice.

We learned about his team-centric approach on cases, his work advocating for implementation of the electronic filing system, and we discussed some of the recent trends in appellate practice. This lunch offered the trial attorneys in the room important insight into best practices for brief writing and preserving the record for appeal.

Justice Bruiniers was extremely open, encouraged each participant to ask questions and very easy to dialogue with.
