The Eviction Defense Center

The Alameda County Bar Association is proud to offer the Eviction Defense Center the 2016 Distinguished Service Award for Community Organization.

Established in 1996, the Eviction Defense Center is a nonprofit (501c3) law corporation that serves indigent tenants in Alameda County.  The Eviction Defense Center is one of the few agencies in Alameda County that offers representation in court through trial to indigent tenants, and legal services are either free or very low cost.

For the past 20 years, the Eviction Defense Center has been dedicated to serving the low income community, with a focus on: disabled tenants, elderly tenants, catastrophically ill tenants, single caregivers with young children, households with young children, veterans, battered women, and recent immigrants.

Please join us in honoring The Eviction Defense Center and the other Distinguished Service Award Recipients at the Rotunda Building Oakland on January 14th, 2016. Click here for more information.
