Thank you for supporting Dine Around for Justice!

The ACBA Volunteer Legal Services Corporation (VLSC) sends our heartfelt thank you to all the supporters of our ninth year of Dine Around for Justice, a fundraising event to provide essential legal services for low-income people in Alameda County. Some of our favorite local restaurants generously agreed to donate 15% of evening food and beverage revenue on one Thursday in August to support VLSC.

August was another busy month in the world of SEO, social media, and Internet marketing. Google updated the way their local search results display, downgrading the 7-pack to a 3-pack as part of a redesign seeking to better optimize results for a mobile user interface.

September Upcoming Programs and Events

This September, we have three town hall meetings, thirteen hours of MCLE credit, a Dine with a Judge lunch, a tailgate at the A’s vs Giants game, and a program dedicated to getting the most out of Social Security! It’s going to be a busy month, we look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Assistant Presiding Judge Morris Jacobson held a Town Hall Meeting at the ACBA on August 19th to introduce his vision for reorganizing the Superior Court of California, County of Alameda. By the time the Court completes transition in the middle of 2017, there will be a number of changes.
