In this two-hour seminar you will learn how to navigate the various laws surrounding how to collect fees from parties other than your client, including the new Chapter 13 fee provisions, fee-shifting statutes, rule changes allowing fees from creditors and employment by the estate. Speakers Carl Gustafson and Cathy Moran are both certified Bankruptcy Specialists.

Domestic Violence and the Statutes You Need to Know Before You Litigate a Child Custody Matter

Fee Arbitrator Training

State Bar of California

This training session is offered to all prospective and current volunteers who arbitrate attorney-client fee disputes for any local Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program through the State Bar of California. The course will provide the basic training required to serve on a bar program’s fee arbitration panel. Non-lawyer (lay) arbitrators, in addition to attorneys, are encouraged to attend this valuable training session and join a Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program. 1.75 hours general MCLE credit and 1 hour legal ethics credit will be provided.
