State Bar Pro Bono Program

Join the State Bar’s Pro Bono Practice Program!

The State Bar Pro Bono Practice Program (formerly the Emeritus Attorney Program) allows retired or semi-retired attorneys the opportunity to contribute their valuable legal skills to low-income and poor Californians. Emeritus attorneys may practice law on a pro bono basis through qualified legal services programs, like Legal Access. In addition to providing much needed services, emeritus attorneys have their annual active attorney bar fees waived and are eligible for low-cost and free MCLE programs.
