Barristers Mentorship Program
Are you looking to build new connections? Do you want to give back to the Alameda County legal community?
The Barristers Mentorship Program was created to link new attorneys (mentees) with seasoned attorneys (mentors) in Alameda County so that mentees may gain support and guidance as they embark on their professional legal careers. For mentors, participation in the program is an opportunity to give back and support the profession of law, and help shape its future by coaching the mentees and sharing their experiences and life lessons.
Submit a mentor application or a mentee application here. Mentors and mentees who attend three ACBA social events and take a picture together will receive special recognition and a prize at your end-of-the-cohort party!
By applying to be a Mentor or Mentee, you are agreeing to the following:
Plan to meet with your Mentor /Mentee once per month (phone, email, in person, etc.) until the program ends.
Reply to quarterly email check-ins with the ACBA Barristers Mentorship Committee.
Plan to attend, at minimum, one in-person meeting at an ACBA event over the course of your mentorship.
Executive Committee Meetings
The ACBA Barristers Executive Committee shapes the educational and social programming for the section. They meet every second Wednesday at 5:30pm. Please contact Barristers Chair for information on how to join these meetings.
