The Superior Court of Alameda County has announced new judicial assignments that will take effect on Monday, November 18, 2019. The complete list is also available on the Court’s web site at http://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov/Pages.aspx/Judicial-Directory.

The Court also congratulates Hon. Brenda Harbin-Forte on her retirement after over 27 years of dedication to the Court and service to the public. Following Judge Harbin-Forte’s retirement, Hon. Robert McGuiness will become the new Supervising Judge of the Court’s Settlement Unit and the George E. McDonald Hall of Justice, located at 2233 Shoreline Drive, Alameda.

Also effective November 18, Hon. Greg Syren will become the new Supervising Judge of the Court’s Family Division and the Hayward Hall of Justice, presiding over Department 516, located at 24405 Amador Street, Hayward. Further, Hon. Michael Gaffey will become the new Supervising Judge of the East County Hall of Justice, presiding over Department 705, located at 5151 Gleason Drive, Dublin.
