From Stressed to Sensationally Calm

Attorneys are under constant pressure: multiple clients with challenging cases, deadlines, delays, changes in the law, new technologies, competing work/life priorities. In the face of all this, how do you stay calm? Whether you react from anxiety or respond from resilience is highly dependent upon how you perceive the inputs or our life. We will delve into the concepts of mindfulness, and the ability to witness ourselves. Yet, rather than advocating traditional meditation, with closed eyes and perhaps a cushion, you’ll learn practices for focusing awareness on sensation, to create shifts in perception and response.

Please join the ACBA Environmental and Real Estate Sections for an engaging program on how to address environmental contamination issues in the context of a real estate transaction, including cost recovery issues. Christine Noma and environmental consultant Robert Schultz will address the nuts and bolts of how to investigate and clean-up contamination, and the key components lenders use to review contamination issues and criteria crucial to a cost recovery claim.
