January ACBA Upcoming Events and Programs 

Happy New Year from the ACBA! Is one of your resolutions to keep up-to-date with the latest in your field? Are you in compliance group 2 and want to knock out all six hours of mandatory specialty credits in one day? You’re in luck! We have some great MCLE programs in January, including our MCLE Compliance Countdown, sprinkled with fun social events like our Installation Reception and a Warriors basketball game.

Please note as of January 1, 2015 there will be an additional $10 fee for walk-ins (those who do not preregister in advance) for all MCLE programs.

What You Need To Know About Changes to the Residential Purchase Agreement

The Residential Purchase Agreement (RPA), published by the CA Association of Realtors is the most widely used form contract for single family homes in California. The RPA recently underwent a major revision that all real estate, transactional, and litigation practitioners need to be aware of. Bill Jansen of Broker Risk Management will speak about the changes in the new form and what lawyers need to know.

2015 ACBA MCLE Compliance Countdown

Time PassingPlease join us for a full day of MCLE programs, worth 6 hours of specialty MCLE credit! Why scramble to meet the State Bar’s requirements when you can knock out all six hours of mandatory specialty credits in one day?

For those attorneys with last names beginning with H-M (Group 2) it is especially important for you to obtain your required MCLE credits before the compliance period ends on January 31, 2015. The State Bar’s deadline to report MCLE compliance for Group 2 is February 2, 2015.
