Environmental Law

About the Section

Founded in 2010, the Environmental, Land Use and Sustainability Section is one of the newest sections of the ACBA.  Our section has steadily grown and consistently provides our members with quality educational and networking opportunities focused on land use, environmental law, and sustainability issues.

The Environmental Law Section offers several MCLE programs each year covering a wide range of environmental topics, including issues relating to air, water, litigation, waste management, natural resources, endangered species, toxics, climate change, land use and CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act).

The Section also sponsors an annual “Meet Your Regulators” event, providing our members with an opportunity to network with regulators from environmental agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control, Regional Water Quality Control Board, Alameda County Environmental Health Department, Port of Oakland, and more, in a relaxed, casual setting.

The Environmental Law Executive Committee is dedicated to supporting efforts to green your business, and encourages you to sign the Eco Pledge and share it with your colleagues.

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Regulators' Reception on March 27, 2013.  A special thank you to the our event sponsors:
