Upcoming Events

October 18, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Using Positive Psychology to Resolve Family Disputes

Our current understanding about how the brain and mind work together and about why emotions exist has given us the tools to be more conscious of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. As professionals working with people in conflict, we can utilize the most useful aspects of this research to shape our own experience and to assist our clients in positive ways. The more we can help our clients and colleagues to understand, produce and utilize certain emotions, the more helpful we can be. This workshop uses the clinically validated research from the field of Positive Psychology to explain how and why positive emotions contribute to human flourishing and how we can help ourselves and our clients take advantage of them.
