Start Small Bay Area

Start Small Bay Area is excited to announce that they have secured three years of funding through the California State Bar’s Bank of America settlement fund. Now we’re turning our attention to raising the rest of the funding!

VLSC and Start Small Think Big partnered in 2017 to create “Start Small Bay Area”, a community and business resiliency project providing pro bono legal, financial management and marketing services to low-income small businesses and micro-entrepreneurs. Access to these services is an essential part of starting or growing a successful small business, especially those who are low-income. Helping local low-income entrepreneurs prosper promotes community redevelopment and job creation. Start Small Bay Area currently serves clients in Alameda and San Francisco counties and plans to expand services to Contra Costa, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties soon.
