Judge William J. Lafferty

Judge Lafferty was the former director of the Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group at Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin PC (“Howard Rice”). His practice included corporate and partnership reorganizations and out-ofcourt workouts. He has represented creditors and secured and unsecured debtors and has lectured extensively on bankruptcy matters.

Prior to joining Howard Rice, Judge Lafferty served as a law clerk for Judge Thomas E. Carlson, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of California.

Judge Lafferty received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with honors. He earned his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
