Based on his experience on the bench and as a practicing attorney, Commissioner Oleon will share a “Top 10 List” of things Family Law attorneys should (and shouldn’t) do in order to maximize their chances of prevailing in contested Family Law short cause hearings. Tips will be offered for drafting effective pleadings and declarations, presenting compelling oral presentations, and generally impressing the court with the attorney’s competence, professionalism and high ethical standards. Citations to relevant statutes, rules of court and case law will be provided.
