Please join the Family Law Section for a seminar with Commissioner Glenn Oleon on winning Family Law hearings. Based on his experience on the bench and as a practicing attorney, Commissioner Oleon will share a “Top 10 List” of things Family Law attorneys should (and shouldn’t) do in order to maximize their chances of prevailing in contested Family Law short cause hearings. Tips will be offered for drafting effective pleadings and declarations, presenting compelling oral presentations, and generally impressing the court with the attorney’s competence, professionalism and high ethical standards. Citations to relevant statutes, rules of court and case law will be provided.

Commissioner Glenn P. Oleon

Since August of 2013, Commissioner Oleon has been serving as a Mediator and Private Judge through ADR Services, Inc. in San Francisco, specializing in family law, conservatorship and probate disputes, and general civil matters. He was appointed as a Commissioner of the Superior Court California, County of Alameda in 2003 and served in Hayward, Oakland, Alameda and Fremont, handling a general Family Law calendar and trial department.
Comissioner Oleon maintained a general civil practice from 1976 to 2003. He practiced in Hayward, Castro Valley and Oakland, with an emphasis on family law, estate planning and probate litigation. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Public Policy in 1972, and received his J.D. from Boalt Hall (now also known as Berkeley Law) in 1976.
