Michael P. Carbone is an independent full-time neutral based in Point Richmond, California. He has more than fifteen years of experience in dispute resolution and serves as a mediator, arbitrator, and referee of civil disputes of all kinds, primarily in the areas of business, real estate, construction claims and defects, employment, estate and trust, and complex litigation. He has practiced law in California for over forty years, concentrating primarily on commercial real estate and business matters, including litigation as well as transactions. He is a founder and past president of The Mediation Society and a member of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the Academy of Court Appointed Masters. He is a frequent author and lecturer on ADR issues, including e-discovery. He is a member of The Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program's Communication and Outreach Subcommittee.
