GUARDIANS OF JUSTICE

VLSC would like to thank the 2014 Guardians of Justice for their generosity and support:

The Volunteer Legal Services Corporation (VLSC) created the Guardians of Justice campaign so that large firms, small firms, and solo practitioners can join VLSC to bridge the justice gap in our community. To join Guardians of Justice, we ask that you make a commitment to support VLSC on an annual basis.

By becoming a Guardian of Justice, you will be leading the effort to close the justice gap in our community by helping VLSC to:

  • Sustain and enhance our current programs, including 30 pro per assistance clinics a month in the areas of family law, domestic violence, bankruptcy, guardianship, immigration, and landlord-tenant disputes.

  • Continue to match clients with qualified pro bono attorneys who handle complex pro bono cases.

  • Provide training, mentoring and malpractice insurance to our dedicated volunteer attorneys, paralegals, and law school graduates.

  • Develop additional programs to meet the existing and growing need for legal services in Alameda County.

In turn, as a Guardian of Justice, your firm will receive many benefits including but not limited to:

  • Your firm’s logo with embedded link will be posted on the ACBA website and the VLSC Guardians of Justice page.

  • Your firm’s logo or ad will be included in one issure of the ACBA bi-monthly e-newsletter.

  • Your firm will receive verbal recognition from the podium as a premier sponsor of our annual special event, Justice for All: Celebrating Pro Bono - now in its 8th year attended by approximately 200 lawyers, judges, and business and community leaders.

  • Your firm will be listed in all pre- and post-event publicity for Justice for All, including communications on: ACBA website and calendar, event invitation, event program, press release, social media sites, ACBA blog, and ACBA Year in Review print publication.

  • Your firm will be recognized at the 2014 VLSC Donor Recognition Reception.
