Representing Startups - Part II

The Bay Area is the epicenter of startup businesses in software, mobile apps, green products, e-commerce solutions, food and beverage products, socially aware service offerings and many other innovative ideas.

In Part II of this series, we will outline some of the fundamental issues and questions that arise when representing a new business at the initial stages. The program will include real scenarios, sources for forms and other helpful information.

  • Intellectual Property (basic concepts, licenses, employee IP matters)
  • Basic Contracts
  • Financing (Angel and Venture Capital)
  • Stock Option Plans
  • Compliance with Securities Law

In a future program, we will address succession and exits via mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs.
