Please join the Labor and Employment and Business Sections for a presentation on what every employer needs to know to make sense of the complex web of leave laws applicable to California employers. This program will cover ADA, CFRA, FEHA, FMLA, PDL, and more.

Patrick R. Kitchin is the founder of Kitchin Legal, APC, a full-service employment law firm. He specializes in wage and hour counseling and litigation. Patrick is this year’s chairperson of the ACBA Labor and Employment Section Executive Committee.

Ann Noel, Esq. is the founder of Noel Workplace Consulting, providing consultations and training on compliance with California employment law for employers and employees. Prior, Ann was the Executive and Legal Affairs Secretary (ELAS) with the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission. As ELAS, she was also its chief administrative law judge and drafted regulations on sexual harassment training, disability and pregnancy discrimination. Ann has frequently written about California employment law., and has taught employment discrimination law at New College School of Law in San Francisco.

Hillary Benham-Baker is a founding partner of Campins Benham-Baker. Prior to forming the firm, she represented employees in a wide variety of employment matters with a small plaintiff-side law firm. Hillary is also the author of the “Damages for Wrongful Termination and Other Tort Claims” chapter in Employment Damages and Remedies (CEB 2012).

Prior to joining the firm, Sonya was an associate of Lawless & Lawless, where she successfully represented individuals who had been discriminated, harassed, wrongfully terminated, or denied reasonable accommodations by their employers. Sonya is the co-author of “Disability Discrimination Under the FEHA: The Impact” (CAL. EMP. L. REP. 59., 2001).
