The Advanced Consumer Bankruptcy Practice Institute is a "learn by doing"-style litigation skills training seminar for consumer bankruptcy attorneys who represent debtors, creditors or trustees. Using a small group model registrants will experience an intensive day and a half of instruction, practice and critique designed to establish competence and confidence in the litigation skills that bankruptcy practitioners need every day. This is a learn-by-doing program in which registrants perform drills, exercises, and a mini-trial in front of a peer group under the supervision of faculty trained by the best instructors from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Video review and critique are integral to this process. Registrants must attend the opening reception, all sessions, and must actively participate in all exercises. Program materials, instructions, a problem and evidence are distributed to registrants in advance and require approximately three hours of preparation.
