Del Norte County is hiring an experienced defense attorney to be the first-ever County Public Defender. The position will provide the opportunity to grow and enhance the county’s public defense system by developing a managed assigned counsel system with the help of staff and contract attorneys. The County Public Defender’s office provides effective legal representation to people who are facing loss of liberty under criminal laws and are unable to afford an attorney.
