ACBA Court Appointed Attorneys Program – The Managing Social Worker is a new position that will start the process of building out our social worker program to include work with adults charged with crimes. The Supervising Social Worker will be tasked with working with attorneys representing adult indigent defendants to help them connect with independent contractor social workers who can aid their clients’ cases. To that end, the supervising social worker will reach out to and connect with qualified social workers, and then monitor the work to ensure the social workers are performing high quality work. The Managing Social Worker will create policies and procedures for independent contractor social workers. Learn more

Legal Access Alameda Family Law Day of Court Attorney: The Attorney for Legal Access Alameda’s Family Law Day of Court (FLDOC) program is an exempt position that reports to the Court Program Managing Attorney. The FLDOC Attorney, and the volunteer attorneys, paralegals and law school graduates they supervise, provide on-site services to self-represented litigants whose cases are calendared on the weekly family law self-represented calendars in Alameda County. These calendars are heard in Hayward’s Hall of Justice. Learn more
