Warning: Your MCLE hours could be increasing soon

The Board of Governors’ Admissions and Education Committee recently voted to move a plan forward to increase the number of hours of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) that active attorneys must complete.

#DubNation: Warriors Parade from the ACBA Office

We had a legal blog planned today, but in honor of the Golden State Warriors’ big win (and our office’s proximity to the parade) we’re dedicating this post to Warriors fans! We’re located at 11th and Broadway, right at the start line for the parade, giving us a great view of the start of the parade.

June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day we’re shinning our spotlight on the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office Elder/Dependent Adult Protection unit. Elder abuse cases are vastly under-reported. The unit, staffed by ACBA Board Member Cheryl Poncini, aims to increase reporting by partnering with other local advocates to increase awareness.
